April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American She is one of a small set of females who've had medals won in multiple Olympics. Ross will compete in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic gold medal along with Alix Klineman who is a first-time Olympian. Ross aims to earn the Olympic the first medal of gold however, she also hopes for greater. As she turns 39, it could be her final chance to win the gold medal at an Olympics. But she's convinced that top honors are firmly within reach. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even if we just play well, I think we could win the gold medal." Also, it's an issue of luck. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and sister. The athletic pursuits she pursued continued at Newport Harbor High School where she participated in several sports. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball as well as basketball as well as track and running. While she did well when playing indoors however, it was evident that her abilities were higher than the average. When she played in her college volleyball season in her university profile, she played as an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. As a tribute to her efforts she was awarded the Gatorade Award for the National Player of 1999. Also, in 2000 she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Although Ross Klineman and Ross are in the spotlight from 2017 onward, the former was already a big-time athlete on the beach prior to their team. In reality, she was a winner of multiple major tournaments in the past with two different partners. among them an icon of volleyball. From 2007-2013 she played alongside Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be strong on the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 as a team. This duo went on to win a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team as well as Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she announced her retirement. The team won bronze in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her the college years following her graduation from the high school she attended. Ross had an impressive run during her time in the NCAA tournament. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 and NCAA The Freshman of the Year honors and was an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss in her sophomore season, but she still repeated her place as an All-American. Through her two final years with the Trojans, she helped them achieve consecutive championships. Her individual achievements have cemented her place as a legendary volleyball player. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the best female college player. Ross was a major in International Relations at USC. Margie Ross was never able to watch her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. Ross suffered the loss of the breast cancer that she battled in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. Ross holds her mother dear. Margie has always been a source of inspiration for her at and off the beaches.
