Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many talents, including being able perform, direct and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British, as is her mother is is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Anna Silk remembers her mother watching work at play rehearsals. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna moved out of Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. Anna was converted to Judaism in January 2011 and the couple renewed their vows in an Jewish wedding in Fredericton.
